The Carmel Hill Fund

The Carmel Hill Fund Education Program is a non-profit organization whose mission is to foster the love of reading in children by providing educators with the means to improve their students' reading ability.
Created in 2005 as a branch of The Carmel Hill Fund - a private foundation established by Mr. William Ruane in 1986 that supports social service, mental health, and education initiatives - The Carmel Hill Fund Education Program strives to improve the quality of education for disadvantaged youth in New York City and beyond.
