The Artists

Helene Ruiz
Art is my passion, religion and salvation. There is no “correct” way to conclude
the meaning behind my work as it is meant to reach inside of you and for you
to decide how it relates to your soul, your life, your experiences.

Painting is my means of a sense of true “freedom.”

Alexander Percy
Percy, a Puerto Rican born artist, combines the vibrant hues and powerful passion
of his heritage with the relentless rhythm and frenetic pace of NYC. “The
spatula is my sword, my shield is the color,” shares Mr. Percy and the results
are bold and dynamic abstract expressionist paintings.

Mia Hernandez
Mia... a Mother, Artist and Advocate using a creative platform to Educate, Explore and Discover life’s treasures. A Woman on a mission with a loaded paintbrush!!

Maria Dominguez
“El-Views” was inspired by the vibrancy and character of the local community. In this work I captured “daily life” and transformed them into colorful vignettes, which were further enhanced by their transformation into dazzling glass.--

Hot House --- Collage music series - A passion for Jazz and Latin music led me to
create the Hot House music series. Everyday this music flows within my environment via radio, CD’s, MP3’s or my musician husband who is either practicing or
performing in his many gigs. Upon completing two pieces to the sounds of trumpeter Wynton Marsalis on the radio the jock mentioned the name –The Hot House Flowers. It offered her the perfect name for this body of work.

Juan C Suazo
I am currently working on low fired stoneware clay. Creating mask of African and Taino folklore. My work is unique as one of my rules is to create one of kind pieces. Very seldom a mask is duplicated. I am always experimenting with shapes, and colors.
I am what they call a retro glaze collector. I enjoy buying old discontinued glazes.
I am constantly changing, So one masks that call attention one week,
may never be reproduced again.
