September 4 – October 5, 2007 Shyun Song was born and educated in Korea, moving to the United States in 1989 after completing a B.A. and M.A. in Education from Ewha Woman’s University. Although she spent 15 years as a banker and 3 years as an educator, her first love has always been painting. She now paints her poetic landscapes full time, studying at the Art Students League and working in her studio. Her work embodies a spirit of reverence, her naturescapes extract the very essence of natural beauty and “hush the soul.” Ms. Song’s works have been exhibited at Saint Peter’s Church, Mamaroneck Artists Guild Gallery and the Harrison Library Gallery, to name a few. She now lives and works in New York. |
