About the Artist
Artist Jun’ichiro Ishida shares his vision of art as a means for promoting the positive essence of the human experience. He would like his paintings to be viewed while contemplating these declarations: Live the life. Now is the time. Focus and concentrate. Many of the works presented are from the lotus series which draws on the lotus as a state of enlightenment. Ishida has an MFA from the University of Wisconsin in Madison and a BA from Sonoma State University in California. He has been exhibiting his art nationally and internationally for the past ten years. He was born in Kobe, Japan and has lived in many places in the United State and abroad.
